Blawith Common & Beacon Tarn Walk

Spend the morning exploring part of the Coniston & Crake catchment, talking water and wetlands in celebration of World Wetlands Day.

A 4.5-mile circular walk on easy to moderate terrain. The route heads across Blawith Common up to Beacon Tarn, then on to the Beacon and back down through to Sliving Moss.

Parts of the route can be quite muddy so sturdy boots or wellies a must. Dress appropriately for the weather with lots of layers.

Meet: Small layby near Crake Valley Caravan Park, Grid Ref: 287900. Further parking in Brown Howe or small laybys on A5084, between Crake Valley Caravan Park and Brown Howe.  Limited space in laybys, car share if you can.

Please let us know if you’re going to join us in case of any changes or cancellation due to inclement weather.
