Restoring Reedbeds

First reedbed restoration work in Coniston Water
The end of August saw the first phase of reedbed restoration work get underway along the shores of Coniston Water. It was a real team effort involving help from the RSPB at Leighton Moss, Chris from Water Park Lakeland Adventure Centre, SCRT staff, trainee Rangers from the National Trust and some brilliant volunteers, who worked hard to plant and protect the new reeds.
