Over the course of 2016, our plans for Conserving Coniston & Crake have been reviewed and developed, culminating in the submission of a second round application to the Heritage Lottery Fund in early November.
Development work has included a programme of monitoring and surveying around the catchment, looking at water quality, habitat and fish numbers. The feasibility of a number of proposed activities has been assessed. Our audience development consultants, Wingspan Consulting, have been busy researching who might want to be involved in the project and how, and we also produced this, our website!
Thanks go to all our volunteers who have helped out this year. It’s been a busy year all round, but that’s it for now. The final decision about whether we’ve been successful should come in March 2017.
FIngers crossed for then!
